Root Canal
A root canal saves an infected tooth by cleaning and sealing it from the inside. A crown is usually recommended afterward.
Numbness for a few hours
Mild soreness in the tooth or jaw joint for a few days
Tenderness when chewing
Avoid chewing on the treated side until a final crown or filling is placed
Brush and floss normally
Take prescribed pain relievers or antibiotics if given
Severe pain or swelling does not improve
Temporary filling or crown becomes loose
