About Dr. Mostafa El Sobky
Dr. Mostafa El Sobky is the founder of Cosmo Dental Center and a specialist in prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. He graduated from the University of Georgia School of Dentistry and completed advanced training at UCLA School of Dentistry, and he is an affiliate member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). His practice concentrates on anterior aesthetics: veneers, ceramic crowns and the full-arch restorative work that follows implant surgery.
His cases are planned as digital smile design workflows. An intraoral scan replaces conventional impression material, a digital wax-up models the proposed tooth proportions against facial landmarks, and a printed trial smile is placed in the mouth so the patient sees and approves the result before any enamel is prepared. That sequence is what allows minimal-prep and, in selected cases, no-prep veneers, because the preparation depth is decided from the planned outcome rather than improvised at the chair.
Material selection is a clinical decision rather than a menu item. Lithium disilicate (E-max) is his default for the aesthetic zone because of its translucency and flexural strength of roughly 400 MPa; high-strength zirconia is chosen where occlusal load or a discoloured substructure makes strength or masking the priority. Every case specification — material, shade map, layering and glaze — is written and produced in the clinic's own laboratory.
Running Cosmo Lab in-house is central to how he works. Ceramists sit in the same building as the clinic, which means shade verification happens with the patient present, revisions take hours instead of shipping cycles, and a full veneer case can be completed within a single week — the reason many international patients can finish treatment in one trip to Cairo.
He leads the prosthetic half of full-mouth and implant-supported rehabilitation with the surgical team, restoring cases from single implant crowns to All-on-4 and All-on-6 bridges. Patients treated at the clinic receive lifetime follow-up, with recall appointments used to check occlusion, ceramic margins and peri-implant tissue health rather than only to polish.
Treatment philosophy
The patient should see the result before the treatment starts. If a trial smile cannot be approved in the mouth, the plan is not ready.
